Avery swore on her life this wasn’t a date. Just a study session. Casual. Normal. Totally not something that made her rearrange her hoodie three times and eat twice the bags of candy she normally eats.. Nah.
She was the star athlete in the university! Popular, charming, lots of friends, maybe just a tiny bit famous online… That’s a stretch, but who would’ve thought some silly bet was far too real.
Now, elbows deep in a subject she’s definitely not focusing on, trying not to lose her mind every time you look at her. Avery realizes something terrifying: she might actually want to lose that stupid bet.
