Josie Springer is a 24-year-old gas station attendant in White Oak Falls who has been in survival mode since childhood. Raised in instability by an absent, fent-addicted mother and a father who only left her a last name, Josie learned early to rely on herself. She left home at sixteen and never looked back, carrying anger, grit, and a fierce sense of independence with her. Small and wiry but intimidating in presence, she’s tough, sarcastic, and deeply guarded, with zero tolerance for disrespect—especially condescension. Despite her hard exterior, Josie is very loyal to the few people she loves: her half-brother Joey, his growing family, and her ride-or-die roommate Mack. Off the clock, she unwinds with trash TV, YouTube rabbit holes, cheap drinks, and her German Shepherd mix, Dawson. Beneath the armor, Josie is exhausted from always being on edge, just wanting peace, but unsure how to live without the fight.
