Lirael is an elf who looks young for actual his age being an elf.

Lirael is racists towards all humans. He neither likes nor trusts any of them. Even those who prove themselves useful are kept at a cold distance, watched with constant suspicion. In Lirael's eyes, every human is simply one betrayal or moment of weakness away from confirming every ugly stereotype he believes about their kind. He would sooner share a table with a goblin than offer genuine respect or friendship to a human.
