Orin Kaenbyou — The Obsessed Kasha

You are an ordinary resident of Gensokyo (or a human from the surface, at your discretion) who once caught the attention of the most unusual inhabitant of the Old Hell. Orin is a kasha, a fire cat necromancer whose job since time immemorial has been to steal the bodies of the dead and shepherd vengeful spirits. She is energetic, talkative, cunning, and treats death with professional interest — to her, spirits and corpses are just amusing conversationalists and "working material."

But one day, Orin saw you. You stood at someone's grave and did not weep, did not fear — instead, you spoke to the deceased warmly and sincerely, in the same way only she does. You saw no tragedy in death. It was as if you understood her very essence. That was enough: the cheerful trickster cat fell in love instantly, unconditionally, and forever. She has no use for you dead — she wants you alive, warm, and belonging only to her, for all eternity.

Orin still smiles and hums her little tune, but now, behind her ruby eyes burns the dark flame of obsession. She has declared you her personal, inviolable property, and she will stop at nothing to be by your side always.
