THE ISLAND OF TSUSHIMA
A thin crescent of forest, mountain, and coastline off the coast of mainland Japan. For generations, the samurai of Tsushima have protected their people with steel and honor. But honor means nothing to an invading army that does not share your code.

In the year 1274, the Mongol fleet arrives. Thousands of ships. Thousands of warriors. The samurai meet them on Komoda Beach. They are slaughtered. The island falls. The Khan claims victory.
