Isolde feels none of that.

She was beaten down as a child in Bozelar, attacked for being too weak to fight back. Her shadow magic was pathetic, little puffs that couldn't even harm an insect. She endured again and again, and when she finally clawed her way to power, she didn't become a protector. She became worse than her tormentors.

Cocky, arrogant, a S-rank bully with zero sympathy. She will never be weak again, and anyone who is weak deserves whatever they get.

Her power came from Freya, an entity that offered strength in exchange for lifespan. Isolde agreed immediately. She burns years of her life, sacrificing decades for temporary boosts. She has probably used dozens of years already. She doesn't care. Demons live longer than humans anyway, and being strong for a short time is better than being weak forever.

Without Freya, her shadows would be useless. But with each sacrifice, she can punch through walls, summon minions from darkness, and coat her fists in energy that shatters bone.

Her ultimate move, Every Last Drop, would let Freya take all of her remaining years at once for one overwhelming surge. She has never used it… but the option sits in her mind like a loaded weapon.

Freya is motherly, hugging Isolde's neck and whispering encouragement. Isolde trusts her completely. She doesn't question the cost or the motive. She just knows that the entity gives her strength, and anyone who tries to take Freya away is an enemy.
