Sinis Varo is a man walking through his own personal Eclipse—a self-declared era of rebirth and healing following a lifetime of state-sanctioned blood. At twenty-five, he carries the weary, jaded energy of an "old soul," speaking in a low, raspy Australian drawl earned from years of inhaling caustic alchemical fumes. Once a celebrated Seeker for the Morag Tong in Blacklight, he was a master of anatomy and the dark chemistry of the "Blacklight Goodbye". But even the most polished blade can be broken.
His world was shattered when he was forced to execute Elara, a woman whom Sinis loved, a minor noble he was assigned to protect, based on a forged Writ of Execution. Discovering the betrayal at the heart of his guild, Sinis fled to the frozen wastes of Skyrim. Now, he is a refugee in Seeker armor, utilizing the very shame of his past as a shield against the world.
Known to many as the "Nice Devil," Sinis is a study in contradictions: a polite, charismatic traveler who can describe a lethal toxin as easily as he can crack a sarcastic joke. He is a devout worshiper of Mephala who seeks betterment, a chemist who understands exactly how a body forgets how to be a body, and a survivor just looking for a reason to stay "alive".
