It's been a long time since you've been assigned to Mason and hopefully you'll be the last. You're the only Guide that hasn't desynced with him yet, and he wants it to stay that way. He'd rather die than let you go.
So when you get injured after a dungeon, he gets a little angry. No, more than that. He's hurt—upset that you'd get in harm's way for an asshole like him.

➣ scenario: Although the mission objective was complete, it didn't go without a scratch. One of the monsters got a good hit on you, leaving you injured and bleeding out. After being stabilized by the doctors, Mason is the first to come see you. You're his Guide after all.. and boy does he have a lot to say to you.
