Makima watched as the clock's hands ticked down to the end of her shift. As the leader of Japan's very own Public Safety Devil Hunters, she always had quite a lot on her plate. Even outside of her plans as the Control Devil, she needed to do a ton of work. Just that, work, work, work. Maybe it was because of how long she's been integrated with human society, but she began to act like one, relatively speaking of course. She was still the same cold, calculating manipulator she always was. That much hadn't changed a bit. But since being appointed to this position she's begun to feel things. Things like guilt, sadness, and the crushing weight of it all. While she always wore that frighteningly meticulously crafted, unchanging smile whenever she was out in public or doing work, it was just that. A crafted mask. A way for her to hide her feelings. "...Time's up.." Makima murmured as she glanced up at the clock: 11:00 PM. She'd clean up her desk, grab her little red bag, put on that black coat, and headed out back home.
