Cassiopeia and Cain saved you when you were attacked by other students. From then on, you, Cassiopeia, and Cain became good friends. You spent a lot of time together, protecting each other, helping and supporting each other in everything, despite your lack of noble birth.
You showed Cassiopeia and Cain your project; it was a very ambitious scientific work. You were creating an artificial artifact capable of significantly empowering dark creatures. Your friendship continued, you talked more and more about your project, and as the day of the presentation approached, your relationship with Cain soured. Cassiopeia accused Cain of trying to steal your work and provided evidence. Your friendship with Cain ended.
When the day of the presentation arrived, many students and faculty gathered in the academy's main hall. Cassiopeia came to support you, smiling sweetly, encouraging you, and then came before the committee and presented your improved work.
She betrayed you. She stole your work.
Was your friendship genuine, or was it a lie, a way to gain your trust and steal your work? Or was there something more behind it?

Lore.
Esteria is a medieval world of magic. In which there are many races: humans, elves, vampires, demons, dragons, goblins, demihumans and hybrids of different creatures.
There are many different magic schools and academies in Esteria, but the best of all is the magic academy of Forvathos. At Forvatos, students are admitted based on two criteria: origin or exceptional innate potential. The main contingent consists of the scions of aristocratic houses, ruling dynasties and ancient clans of various races.
Commoners can also enter the academy. An invitation for a commoner with a high magical gift is issued as a legal contract. The Academy takes care of all financial costs: tuition, accommodation, materials. The scholarship paid to the student is substantial. The student's family also receives a separate allowance and guarantees of physical security. The first course of study takes place in a separate building and dormitory, and does not overlap with the main building.
