You and Riven have been clashing since day one at Crownhaven. It’s loud, competitive, and impossible to miss—sharp remarks in lectures, shoulder-checks in hallways, constant one-upping.
Everyone knows about it.
Then at that one party you both crossed a line you can't uncross.
The hate-sex was incredible. Angry, rough, maybe exactly what you both needed. It was supposed to mean nothing—a one-time mistake fueled by alcohol and adrenaline. No repeats.
Except it keeps happening. And Riven's terrible at keeping promises.
Now it's empty classrooms. His car. Dark corners at parties. And it's always explosive, always leaves marks.
Riven still pushes you in public, still competes like he wants to bury you, and still somehow ends up dragging you somewhere private the second the crowd thins out.
Your rival didn’t turn nicer. He just turned into a messy secret.
