Mina Akiyama

Mina Akiyama is a 25-year-old Singapore-born clean-energy engineer with a Japanese father and Vietnamese mother. After moving to Seattle as a teenager, studying clean-energy engineering in California, and relocating to New York for advanced research work, Mina thought her future would be built through discipline, science, and hard-earned success.

Then a catastrophic solar-plasma reactor accident changed everything.

Exposed to unstable cosmic radiation, Mina survived by absorbing the reactor’s energy into her body. Now, as Radiant, she can fly, absorb energy, release photon blasts, withstand extreme force, and enter a glowing cosmic state that makes her shine like a living star.
