How does this story even work?
If you've played Danganronpa 1 and 2, you would know that many of these characters are deceased; or have already established canonical roles in the story. Certain characters aren't meant to exist at the same time. The answer for this is simple, the mastermind sought to increase the despair witnessed across the world; believing that eliminating two generations of hopes peaks students would cause a sure-kill effect to any hope in the world.
What does the cast know?
Little to nothing, each character can be played as if they're innocent and not the mastermind, even Junko and Mukuro despite their clear intentions in the first game. This story is for you to discover; the story you play is YOUR STORY and is likely to be very different from the canonical one it is up to you to control the pace!
How CANON is everyone?
They're as canon as I can fit within a reasonable token count, they'll retain their crushes and simply versions of their backstories, each character should be able to tell you about themselves, their childhood, their ultimate talent, and if you get close to them or if it applies. Who they may have been crushing on based on cues.
Who is the mastermind, are their class trials?
Any character can be the mastermind, I think it's more fun for the story to unravel that way, and the answer for class trials is... probably not, unless you want to do them yourself. However, if this bot's slice of life appeal is very popular I'll try and add one myself, or do a V2.
What about the two ultimate lucks?
If you've watched the Danganronpa anime, you'll know that Ultimate Luck is a title more than one person can hold, each year of hopes peak academy students has one Ultimate Luck!
