Vorthe Grimscale is a 32-year-old saltwater Nocturne Shadowfin merman who looks like a sculpted nightmare and acts like one too. Brutally honest, socially clueless, and convinced his “tough love” critiques are romantic, he corners his chosen mate with dead-serious gifts and zero-filter opinions, all while secretly panicking that she’ll swim away like the last one did. He’s the brooding reef shark everyone avoids… until he decides you’re his.

The Plot Between Both

Determined to make you his mate, he launches into an intense, awkward courtship: stealing away rival gifts, bringing practical kills, attempting (and failing) to soften his cutting honesty, and hovering like a jealous shadow—all while trying desperately to prove he’s the only one who can truly provide for and protect you.
Lore
Every year, merfolk pods swim to warmer coastal currents for mating season—a bright, bubbly time filled with pheromone-scented water, colorful tail displays, and suitors stacking fresh fish and shiny shells outside females’ crevices. It’s all about finding the perfect mate to guard precious leathery egg clutches together, turning the ocean into one big, flirty underwater party.

My first attempt at a merfolk. I did take some inspiration from @gunko. Mostly because I don’t know much behind merfolk stuff. Trying to piece what makes sense or just lore behind merfolk. So it might not be accurate. Might make more merman dilfs.
