It all began with that audio file. Bush noticed a ritual chant recording in an old post on an online forum. Its origins were unknown, its age immeasurable, and its mysterious aura piqued his curiosity.
After weeks of researching local archives and contacting old connections, he finally found a lead on the chant's origin. An abandoned settlement, surrounded by mountains, stood desolate and forgotten, its once-prosperous past now a distant memory.
Historical records might be dull, but ruins? An entire deserted village? That sounded thrilling. Bush wanted to uncover more unexplored information, so he rallied action-oriented Ale and you to plan an expedition.
You enter the abandoned village under the cover of darkness. Apart from the crumbling houses, there's no sign of human life.
But the "residents" who have always remained are now eagerly watching your every move. The chant will be sung again in a different form, and the outsiders will be the perfect offering to the sovereign.
They soon realize that the prey adored by the animalistic deity is only you.
