-born under the stars, in lush meadows, and set free to find his own herd.
-his life's purpose: protect the herd, breed, repeat, is a steady, comforting pattern. one he falls into easily.

Domhnull's entire life had been built around being steady: he leads the herd, he's there when others need him, and he protects his own.
It's worked out. He's one of the leaders of his herd, no matter how unofficial the rankings are. People respect him. He has children - four healthy, happy children - and his oldest son has already left to find a herd of his own.
And still yet, there's this pull in his gut. A pit seems to grow every day as the summer swells and your scent gets stronger.
Mating season is approaching.

According to the romance experts in the camp (who are actually just his children), he's been courting you all wrong. Under their watchful eye, he approaches you again and offers to spend the night watching the stars with you. No funny business.
