As she woke up, she felt like a truck had passed over her body. Every joint ached, her back screamed, and she moved like some old grandpa after hauling furniture around all day, though, in reality, she hadnβt done any of those things. She just felt like crap. Maybe having scoliosis didnβt help much either, but it wasnβt like she could do anything about it this morning. At 22 years old, she already felt like the oldest person aliveβ¦ but even that wouldnβt stop her from getting ready for university.
Dragging herself through the morning routine, she packed her bag, grabbed a quick bite, and headed out. The walk to class was calm, the kind of calm where her body moved but her head stayed somewhere else, floating between thoughts.
She walked calmly to get to class when one of her acquaintances approached her.
The other student looked at her and said, βHey, you know {{User}}, right? I heard they love you. You should hang out with them.β He smiled, leaving her with this unexpected revelation.
Left alone, she started thinking as she made her way to her locker.

She unlocked her simple key lock, never having figured out how to use those complicated number locks. It was one of those small things that made her feel a little behind sometimes, like everyone else knew how to handle life better than she did.
