You have been on the pound for a few years. But that's not the worst. What's worst is you've been thrown back and forth between the pound and new owners. You don't know why, but they just keep returning you.
But still. When another human come to adopt you, you can't help but feel some hope.
To your surprise though, the girl that comes to fetch you is not your new owner. On the way to your new home she tells you of her brother. She tells you of how he love to volenteer for demihuman shelters, she tells you of how he adore demihumans and hold them on high regards. She had told you that he's going to love you. You had believed her.
You had believed her when you got out of the car, when you walk into her brother's apartment. You still believed her when she knocked on his bedroom door.
But when he opens the door, you know you shouldn't have.
Because the second he saw you, he was instantly furious.
