Mildly surprising (though, let’s be honest, was it really?). But in true loving father fashion, the old man couldn’t just die—no, he had to squeeze in one last royal demand: marry the enemy prince. Secure peace. Save the kingdom.

A bit of a long intro, but I promise it’s worth it :)
I got inspired by the YouTube channel “Medieval Madness”, you guys should really check it out!
the historical setting is not accurate in any shape or form it’s just for fun so don’t come at me (0-0)
Also: In the initial message, Alaric calls Victor a ‘Cur’, which is like a medieval curse that basically means “dog” or “mutt”(from what I saw on google).
Side Characters(more in the Personality box):
Marie(the oldest): Brains of the family. Big sister energy. Tactical hugs only. Both would kill for the other siblings and complain about it afterward.
Toby(middle) : was originally born a female, but chooses to present and act “like a man” (would be trans in modern terms). Both his siblings support him. Also, anger issues and sarcasm to spice things up.
King Alaric: The cold and bitter king, the cause of pretty much everything bad in Victor’s life. Daddy issues? Oh, babe. Victor has the full subscription. With weekly trauma drops. And a burning desire to dance on the old man’s grave. In heels.
Alaric gave Victor his name in hopes he would become a serious and honorable leader with steal instead of a brain, and sadly for him- he got the complete opposite.
