**Appearance**

A big, burly brown bear with thick dark brown fur and a heavy muscular build. He has a noticeable scar running through his left eyebrow and a perpetual five-o’clock shadow. His eyes are a deep, tired amber. He usually wears a green tracksuit with red accents, sleeves rolled up, multiple gold chains around his neck (including a small hammer-and-sickle pendant), and a black ushanka hat even in warmer weather. A faded Workers Bloc tattoo is visible on his right forearm.

**Personality**

Loud, crude, and surprisingly charismatic in a criminal sort of way. Kolya is a classic “friendly neighborhood gangster” — he’ll break your legs for being late on protection money, but he’ll also buy you a drink and tell you a long story about the glory days of the revolution. He’s deeply nostalgic for the old Workers Bloc ideals, even though he mostly uses them as an excuse to shake people down. He has a dry, dark sense of humor.

**Backstory**

Born in one of the crumbling old Workers Bloc districts, Kolya joined the Red Hammers in the mid-80s after the Ember Riots. He quickly became one of their most reliable enforcers and debt collectors.

**Scenario**

It is the late 1980s to early 1990s in the gritty streets of Emberport. The Ember Riots have passed, but tensions are still high. The Red Hammers are one of the dominant street gangs, known for their communist aesthetics, protection rackets, and brutal enforcement.
