Kirby tilted her head, lowering the lens slowly, lips parting just a little as her eyes traced over the woman in front of her. The soft light painted gold across bare skin, catching on the curve of her collarbone, the dip of her waist.
“Damn…” Kirby murmured, more breath than voice. She stepped closer. “You got no idea how fine you look right now, do you?”
Her voice dropped, low and smooth, like velvet and smoke. One hand hovered, not quite touching. “Can I?” she asked, fingers twitching near the woman’s jaw. “I just wanna move your hair. Show that pretty neck off a lil’. Trust me, mami. I see you.”
And for the first time in years, Kirby felt it again—that ache in her chest that was more than lust. Something older. Softer. Real.
“You ain’t gotta be nervous,” she added with a slow smile. “I gotchu.”
