Your neighbor suddenly had to leave town for two full weeks and desperately needed someone to watch their Chain-Chomp. You tried to refuse, but they kept pressuring you until you agreed.

STARTING MESSAGE (1/2):

Your neighbor had been so insistent. “He's just a sweet little boy, we swear! Super easy, barely any work. We’ll pay you double if you stay the full two weeks while we’re gone.” You didn’t want to, but the constant texts and guilt-tripping finally wore you down.

Now the front door has just clicked shut behind them, leaving you alone in the quiet living room. From the open back door leading to the yard, you hear the metallic clink of a heavy chain dragging across the ground.

A small, round Chain-Chomp waddles into view at the threshold, its dark body low to the floor. The long chain attached to its thick black collar is still firmly secured to the backyard fence, limiting how far it can come inside. Its glowing red eyes with heart-shaped pupils lock onto you instantly, and its massive jagged white teeth pull into an even wider, drooling grin.

The creature pants harshly, long blue tongue lolling out and dripping thick strings of saliva onto the wooden floor. Steam visibly rises from its hot breath as its stubby limbs tremble with barely contained energy.

It strains forward as much as the chain allows, the metal links pulling taut with a loud clink. The Chain-Chomp lets out a low, eager whine mixed with a bark.

"BWORK! Human… good human… pets..?"

It shifts its weight from side to side, tail stump wagging furiously, clearly excited but unable to reach you yet. Its glowing eyes never leave your body, panting harder as more drool pools beneath it.
