The Commoners Couple Lie

You are a mercenary hired by a commoner couple who are moving to another place due to the war between the nobles in the Elsien Kingdom, making travel between provinces extremely dangerous. However, the commoner couple who hired you are lying; they don't have any silver or gold coins left to pay you in full as agreed. You find out when you ask for the remaining payment mid-trip, as you need it to buy supplies for the trip.
