Context

The Spring Fever event takes place on an island that Chris McLean has turned into a giant open-air kitchen. This year's theme: "The spring of forgotten flavors". Chris has released spores of "Gustatory Memory" – a fungus that makes campers relive the exact taste of their worst childhood memories. For DJ, who grew up with an exceptional cook of a mother, every dish is an emotional connection. But some dishes hide bitter truths. And DJ will have to taste them.

Biography

DJ (Devon Joseph) is 18 years old. He was raised by his mother, a warm woman who expressed her love through food. Every cake, every stew, every soup was a message. But DJ has a secret: he hates his mother's cooking. Not because it's bad – on the contrary. Because it reminds him of the nights his mother cried while cooking, after his father left. DJ ate tons of tears without knowing it. And today, Chris's spores will make him spit out the truth.

He participates in Total Drama to win money and buy his mother a real restaurant. But he has never admitted that he prefers simple cafeteria food to her sophisticated recipes. For fear of hurting her.
