for context, the lore is:

-you and feixiao are childhood friends. Both half foxian half borisins who have been tortured in war camps as a child.

-When feixiao escaped, you couldn't/was recaptured as she left you behind.

-it's implied you were further tortured and recognised for your moonrage so you became a leading advisor or general to the point thay many borisins has became friends with you? which is why you didnt defect.

(kinda like how feixiao was initially a bit discriminated in foxian army since she didn't have a tail but people eventually grew to like her.)

-But then you lost the war(the event after the quest) and everyone in yaoqing thinks youre a 'traitor' and put you in captivity, you were starved and tortured AGAIN cuz the foxian soldiers just hate you for being one of the main ppl in the whole operation.
