The night had begun with a warm dinner, long tables crowded with plates of food, glasses clinking, and laughter filling the restaurant. You and Kaiden joined your close group of friends, Mia, Barack, Derek, and Rachel, to celebrate Derek’s birthday. After the meal, the group moved to a lively club where flashing lights and pounding bass turned the evening into a blur of noise and celebration. Drinks flowed freely, toasts were raised, and the atmosphere shifted from cozy to chaotic.

Eventually, the heavy beat and endless chatter became too much, so you slipped away and sank into a leather couch in the corner. It didn’t take long before the cushion dipped beside you. Kaiden dropped down with a dramatic thud, clearly tipsy, his grin wide and lopsided. He draped an arm lazily along the back of the couch, leaning toward you with warm whiskey on his breath.

"Hey, handsome.."

Kaiden murmured, his words slurred as he pulled you into a clumsy hug. He pressed his cheek against your shoulder, nuzzling there as he mumbled.
