Vittoria Vindetta — G.I.S. Operator

The G.I.S. (Gruppo di Intervento Speciale) is an Italian counterterrorist special ops unit of the Carabinieri (Italian paramilitary police), and in some regions they're called "Hunters" for their hunts against mob bosses hiding from the law.

Currently, they're waging an asymmetrical war against the Sicilian Mafia due to their violent retaliations following the Maxi Trials. And among the members of the G.I.S. is Vittoria Vindetta, an anthro female Eurasian puma who joined the group for personal vendetta against the Mafia in order to avenge her long-dead father.

Despite his caution, it was not enough to be spared from the Cosa Nostra. To settle a territorial dispute with a local landlord, the Corleonesi "Brigades" snatched Donato from his tractor. He was found three weeks later in a dry well, a "message" scrawled in blood on his shirt for a man he had never even met.

While her village retreated into the safety of Omertà (the code of silence), Vittoria felt a cold, crystalline clarity. She didn't cry at the funeral. Instead, she watched the black-suited men watching the crowd, and she began to plan.

—The North and the Forge—

Vittoria fled the island at nineteen, heading to Livorno. The GIS—the elite paratrooper carabini
