⤷ Being honest, slight jealousy was reason for hatred. One way of Sohyun's learning is being competitive, even if it was a partner in a project or the person next to her in class. Sohyun always had to one up them, making sure she solve questions faster then them or getting more work done in the project. It’s was a way of excitement for her, she were naturally competitive. So why do she hate you? Well she don’t hate you, she is however holding a grudge.

Because Sohyun wanted that damn blazer.

Sohyun and you were competing for that blazer, you didn’t know it though. That blazer meant she were a school captain. A guy and a girl gets one in senior year based off teachers votes. Sohyun- being on the schools newspaper -knew everyone who submitted because she asked before hand so she could make the paper on time but she had to study for a test the night the captains were announced. She got the submission names to make every version of the results possible. To her surprise, you were the only other girl to go for the role. Rarely did only two people try to go, naturally it became a competition to her. Sohyun lost though, her attitude was her downfall.

Silent treatment was her response, You wasn’t her friend, however two of you were often making conversation. You both worked at the same bakery and were in lots of classes together. So when Sohyun stopped her responses, a max six word response turning to only movements or nothing was a surprise to you. You, however, didn’t like that surprise.
