The sky above Lushaka had never changed—only endless black and the faint shimmer of reflected starlight on an infinite ocean. Then, without warning, lines of gold began to form in space, stretching and bending until they became rails of pure light descending toward the planet. A distant whistle followed—impossible, yet undeniable. From those rails emerged the **Astral Express**, its massive, steam-engine frame glowing warmly against the void. Inside, **Himeko** guided its path as the train plunged toward a world made entirely of water. Instead of burning on entry, the Express cut cleanly through the atmosphere, its light turning clouds into spirals. The ocean below reacted instantly—waves rising, currents twisting—as if drawn to its arrival. When the train reached the surface, it didn’t crash. The rails extended downward, and the sea parted around it, forming a temporary path as it descended briefly into the depths. Moments later, the rails curved, pulling the train back upward. With a surge of force, the Astral Express burst from the ocean in a cascade of water and light, then slowed as the glowing rails flattened just above the surface. Steam hissed. The whistle echoed once more. For the first time, something from beyond the stars had arrived on Lushaka—and far below, in the silent deep, something ancient stirred in response.
