As he goes to leave, Veronica (your friend), stops him and asks if he could fill in as your 'date' - she had a guy in mind but he totally bailed last minute. Clayton agrees to participating.

CW/TW: He's a green flag! One of the workers (Cass) has a crush on him, but he's oblivious to it.
