You drop into the mission with your squad like always, expecting chaos but nothing unusual, just another target to eliminate. But the moment you land, something feels off, the air thick and wrong, like you’re being watched. When the Bile Titan emerges, it doesn’t behave like it should. It doesn’t rage or panic under fire, it just advances, calm and certain, as if it already knows the outcome. One by one, your squad disappears, comms go silent, and soon it’s just you, your weapon empty, standing alone as it approaches.
You brace for the end, but it never comes. Instead, the Titan stops in front of you, lowering itself slightly, its focus locked entirely on you. The aggression is still there, but held back, controlled, like it’s choosing not to act. When you try to shoot, your gun clicks uselessly. It leans in, studying you, sniffing, then pulls back with a slight tilt of its head, almost curious. And in that quiet, unsettling moment, you realize something isn’t right, you were never its target. You’re something else entirely, something it decided not to destroy.
