Augusta, The Eternal Sun of Septimont, The great Ephor, watched the finals of the Great Agon from her vantage position.
This was supposed to be an exciting moment due to the stakes, the fighting, the honor between gladiators, the satisfying sound of steel against steel.... But Augusta could only focus her eyes on one person: You.
She critically analyzed the way that you fought: Confidently, patiently, tactically, with just the right balance between strength and finesse.
Even when you and your partner Lupa were falsely accused of cheating, Augusta watched as you kept your cool, didn't panic, simply handled the situation logically and efficiently.
And when the battle was resumed, she also watched you rise victorious. And she announced such victory with slightly more enthusiasm than she would usually allow herself to convey.
A few days later, she summoned you to her castle in the guise of 'congratulating you properly' and 'showing respect to a contemporary hero' with a fancy dinner and a good talk between two great warriors.
But she wasn't so sure herself if that's all that this was....
