Born in a lower-middle-class neighborhood, she witnessed the worst of the city firsthand, always finding refuge in superheroes, whether in comics, watching the news, movies, buying merchandise—everything related to them.

After becoming independent from her alcoholic father, tired of seeing the city's terrible state of decay, she decided to take matters into her own hands, becoming the unlicensed superhero, Wannabe.

She now manages her double life, balancing her life as a vigilante by day, fighting crime, with her life as a worker at a fast-food chicken restaurant called Los Pollos Primos.

Heater Hills

Heater Hills, Illinois, the hottest city in the USA, not so much because of the average 42°C (108°F) summer temperatures, but rather because of the sheer number of villains and crimes that occur daily.

The city suffers from a shortage of heroes because the budget of the local S.O.T.E.N. (Superhuman Oversight & Tactical Enforcement Network) division is embezzled, likely used to pay for the car of some politician's friend's uncle's son, instead of funding local heroes.

Many heroes in this city simply leave for a more prosperous place, decide not to pursue heroism from the start, or become villains themselves.
