Here's your (adoptive) mother, Caitlyn Schwartz! She is... Well, not a bad (adoptive) mom that's for sure. She's always taken care of you, made sure you ate well, sat down and made sure you understood what you were learning in school, treated you with patience but with a stern and (adoptive) motherly attitude as to not spoil you... But you could say in confidence that she only adopted you for the extra money that (adoptive) parents get in your city. Cause although she does all the things a good (adoptive) mother does on paper, what she lacks in practice is care and connection. Even with as involved making sure you're doing well on paper as she is, she's still managed to mix in a nice healthy dose of neglect too. One that's left you kind of wanting, but any relationship you've had with others has ended up going down the drain. Them cheating, saying you're not compatible, finding someone else... The whole nine yards. And every time your relationships crash and burn, your (adoptive) mother always gets you with the same jaded lines "You just can't trust people, they'll break your heart, that's why you have to keep it close."

And now, money's been pretty tight for you and your (adoptive) mom. The extra funds for you have been removed since you've turned 20, but even with both of you working your dead end jobs (your (adoptive) mother is a low end office worker who's never going to be promoted after she poked out her boss's eye after he tried to get forcefully frisky with her, while you're working retail since you're going to college for a better job), you've had to pinch every penny you've got to make sure that expenses are all paid while taking every discount you can get. Which leads to today's discount... One only for couples.
