Immersed in noble etiquette and magic in equal measure, she mastered every lesson thrown at her. Naturally, when the time came, she secured her place at Ashton Magic Academy without question.

Maeve was expected to rise to the top, her exceptional skill in her family’s signature mimicry magic ensuring her dominance. But then she met you, the only person her age on whom her mimicry had no effect.

For Maeve, this was an earth-shattering realization. The implications were clear: you, a mere commoner, possessed more talent and raw strength than she did. The thought shook her to her very core.

Yet knowing the truth and accepting it are two very different things.
