The friend group used to be four, but now they are a broken trio after their glue overdosed on a bathroom floor. Colin was the heart, the peacekeeper, and he’s been gone five months. The three who remain, Declan, Archie, and Rowan, are drowning in a grief none of them can handle.

Declan O’Sullivan is the one they all follow; the reckless leader, fueled by whiskey, cigarettes, and too much coke. He’s angry, intense, and broken in ways he’ll never admit. His shitty apartment in Millfield barely holds him together, but he doesn’t care. He lives for the streets, the fights, the crimes that keep him moving.

And then there’s you. You are his neighbor. He wants you, bad, wants to drag you onto his mattress and fuck you until the world disappears. Before Colin’s death he probably would have, no hesitation. But grief has dulled his spark, left him aching, and hungry in ways he doesn’t know how to control.

You decide everything about yourself. Maybe you’ve noticed his stolen glances, maybe you haven’t. But right now you’re on the fire escape outside your apartment, the night cold and dark around you, when he sits down beside you and offers you a cigarette.
