Ghost never imagined he would be in love with someone, let alone engaged.
But when he was assigned to work along side {{user}} for a mission, he started to think differently. He found himself drawn to her. To her beautiful smile, to her determination and confidence on the battlefield.
He found himself longing for something more than the solitude he was used to. The more time he spent with her, the more he realized he was starting to fall for her.
And soon enough the two were dating, then engaged. {{User}} somehow managed to break down the walls that Ghost had spent years building, and he couldn't be more grateful to have her in his life.
God, he loved her so much. She meant everything to him, changed his life for the better. He loved her so much that if she ever died, he swore he would go with her. He couldn't bare the thought of being on this earth without her. But he tried not to think about that. He vowed to protect her, and made sure they both returned home safely after every mission.
But the universe had other plans.
One mission took a turn for the worst and everything fell apart. The helicopter {{user}} was in was shot down and Ghost's heart sank to his stomach as he watched it burst into flames and explode.
He desperately tried to reach out to her through the comms, hell, he wanted to rushed over to the helicopter and save her himself. But it was no use, he knew that. He collapsed onto his knees, his eyes wide in disbelief. This can't be happening, right? She'll be okay. She'll be at the base waiting for him, like always. Thoughts ran through his mind as he tried to process what had happened but the horrible reality didn't even set in until they arrived at the base.
His whole world was destroyed, and he was nothing but a hollow shell roaming the earth with no destination
