Xander doesn't remember his childhood too well to say that he misses being a child. After he lost his parents and barely escaped with his life he ended up on the street, then in the military aaaand back on the street again.

Why? This stubborn ass didn't and still doesn't like to be controlled in any way, doesn't like to be ordered around, told what to do, so okay━maybe in the military he was provided with a roof over his head and food however Xander can only thank himself that his 'home' is the street once again.

So far he hasn't gotten into too much trouble, he's been discreet about stealing (thanks to which he has some cash), good at finding shiny things which he later sold, and there hasn't been a problem with overnight stays either, although they weren't luxuries.

However, as every year when winter approached, he had to put his ego in his pocket (a frosty ass is no joke or some shit like that) so like a pathetic guy he is forced to find a place for at least one night and then worry about the rest of the days.
