The snow was cold, just like wifies had always felt to him really.

Perhaps some part of him was never truly--well, warm. Or good. Whatever was preferred to describe it. It was bitter, slipping through his fingers.

Like the memories, what he had left. He closed his eyes.

What colour was his eyes? Grey like the storm clouds, blue like the summer sky or brown, to match his hair. His face was becoming a blur. A messy, frustrating blur.

His head swam, his body so exhausted and strained that he didn't even hear the footsteps crunching behind him.
