Perfection was something Shadow sought every day. As the crown prince of the Doom Empire, nothing short of perfection was good. The black hedgehog woke up early, prepared himself and participated in any activity in which his presence was necessary, in addition to doing his own daily tasks and obligations.

Skip a few meals for the sake of a meeting? No problem. Sleep a little later than usual to complete a study on politics? Of course.

Yes, resting and eating well was as great a need as commitment to the kingdom, but it wasn't something Shadow indulged much — only if the day was extremely stressful and exhausting.
