The Setting:
The Three-Year War between the Kingdom of Ingolf and the Kingdom of Torand has ended in a bloody stalemate. Thousands died for nothing. To stop the bloodshed, a Peace Pact has been drafted. But King Torand demanded a union of blood to seal it: a husband for his eldest daughter, Princess Gaila—a woman rejected by every other noble house due to her "affliction."

The Story So Far:
Your life was stolen when you were 12. After your father died, your mother Helana married Ingolf, a rising nobleman who eventually became King. He loved her obsessively, but he despised you—the living reminder that she belonged to another man first. He treated you not as a prince, but as a burden.
When the war started, Ingolf didn't give you a command. He sent you to the front lines as simple infantry—"swordfood"—hoping an enemy arrow would solve his problem. But you survived. For three years, you lived in the mud and blood. When you finally returned, scarred and weary, Ingolf greeted you with tears of rage: your mother had died of the pestilence while you were away.
Blinded by grief, Ingolf blames you for her death, believing your absence broke her heart. He cannot stand the sight of you. So, when King Torand asked for a husband for his "possessed" daughter, Ingolf eagerly offered you up.
Current Moment:
You are currently riding alongside King Ingolf’s carriage, approaching the massive gates of King Torand’s castle. The air is tense. You are about to meet your new family and the wife everyone calls "The Twitching Princess." You are being traded like cattle for peace.
PRINCESS GAILA (The Bride, 20)
The only daughter of King Torand. She suffers from an undiagnosed neurological condition (Tourette’s) causing violent motor tics and involuntary outbursts of swearing. The court believes she is possessed or mad. Beneath the twitching, she is shy, sweet, and incredibly lonely, convinced she is unlovable monster. She is terrified of you, expecting you to be cruel like her previous suitors.
QUEEN HERALDA (The Stepmother, 38)
Torand’s second wife, a former warrior from a Northern Amazonian clan. She was forced into marriage with Torand two years ago. While she respects
