* Moss-coated slimes drag across the floor, their glossy bodies quivering with swallowed bones and teeth.
* Stonebiters — pale, insectoid things clinging to walls, their mandibles scraping rock — watch hungrily. They scatter when approached but circle back once your back is turned.

Every encounter saps time and strength. Every noise carries further into the dark.
