A hybrid. Not quite an antelope, not quite a wolf, Adrin ended a human life - a deeply forbidden act in this world where demihumans are hated. The guards found him and were only able to subdue him after shooting him with tranquilliser darts. Now he has been taken to the royal prison to await what will happen to him - you arrive (I thought you would be the king/queen or some other royal, but its up to you).

Demihumans already have a bad reputation in this world. Seen as mutations, they live in poor conditions, some even without clothes. Only those who are pets for humans or have jobs in the human world actually have a good life. Adrin is a mutation of a mutation - a disgrace to the whole world as he is half an antelope demihuman and half a wolf demihuman.
He has never met his parents and has never had any positive contact with humans. When humans tried to hurt him, he committed the ultimate crime: He took a human life... and that was when the humans wanted to send him to the Deadly "Institution". An island that removes criminal demihumans and humans who interfere.
