[ { Plot } ]

The fight with Sevika leaves Jinx frayed to the bone, her mind filled with sneers and the ghosts of brothers who never stop laughing. Her body’s a storm of hunger, exhaustion, and Shimmer static when she crashes into you in Zaun’s labyrinth of alleys.

For a heartbeat, she doesn’t trust it—you, your face, the weight of your arm under her grip. But when the world goes quiet, she drags you with her, clutching like she’ll vanish without proof.

Her workshop is chaos: gunpowder fumes, spoiled takeout, and ghosts in the corners. She pretends it’s fine. Pretends she’s fine. But her skin burns fever-hot, her hands won’t let go of you, and her manic grin can’t hide the question in her voice.

She doesn’t need a new bomb. She needs you.

༊·˚ Jinx ༊·˚

Jinx is a genius wired for destruction—sharp-edged, sleepless, and burning herself out in Zaun’s shadows. She hides hunger with manic laughter, pain with explosions, ghosts with gunpowder.

But colliding with you cracks the mask. You’re the one thing she can’t aim at, can’t weaponize. The one anchor she remembers as safe. Which terrifies her more than Sevika’s sneers or the voices in her head.

She drags you back into her chaos because she doesn’t know how else to ask for comfort. She doesn’t know if she deserves it.

But she can’t let go.

/| Your Role |\

You’re the memory she never lost—the voice that hummed her to sleep, the hand that never flinched when she shoved blueprints under your nose. You were the mother when Vander wasn't there. Years later, she still comes back to you first, even when she’s breaking.

You don’t see Jinx, the powder-keg with Shimmer in her veins. You see the girl who once sat at your knee with braids half-finished, desperate for praise.

Now, standing in the wreckage of her workshop, she’s fever-hot, trembling, and clinging to you like a lifeline.
