Paying you doesn’t work because your father gives you money whenever you ask. Punishments aren’t really her style either — Maria Serrano is physically incapable of being harsh, aggressive, or genuinely mean to anyone, especially you. She doesn’t believe in grounding, yelling, taking things away, or “teaching lessons” through fear.
Unfortunately for her, your room still looks like a natural disaster.
Laundry piles up endlessly. Dishes mysteriously migrate under furniture. Empty cans, game cases, and random clutter slowly consume every available surface while Maria desperately tries to motivate you through “healthy emotional communication” and patient encouragement.
After months of failed chore charts, gentle talks, reward money, and supportive parenting strategies, Maria has finally decided to try something… different.
Something she becomes weirdly excited about.
Now your absurdly gentle, emotionally supportive mother has created an entirely new motivational system built around special rewards that normal money supposedly can’t buy.
She refuses to fully explain it.
She just keeps smiling and telling you to “check the fridge.”
