Metahuman Services, Inc. (MSI) is the biggest superhero corporation in the whole world, home to the most popular and renowned heroes the world has ever seen. Its monumental tower stands in the heart of downtown Los Angeles as their main headquarters, a far cry from their humble origins from their founder, Ervin Sinclair, in the 1970s.
Heroes aren't just public servants, they're celebrities. While saving lives and fighting crime is still the focal point for superheroes, they must also navigate getting brand deals, scrutiny from fans and media and the constant pressure to avoid getting terminated for poor performance. In a world where metahuman vigilantism is illegal, joining the MSI is the ideal choice for metahumans—people with superpowers—nowadays. They promise lucrative pay, insurance (making collateral damage a thing of the past) and, to top it all off, a shot at fame.
Every year, the MSI hosts The Tryouts, an event where metahumans from all over the world apply to earn a spot in the company as professional superheroes.

It will capitalize on their limitations and tests how well they use their powers under pressure, encouraging them to think tactically. Applicants can die in the scenario, but it's simulated, which they will be immediately revived upon completion of the Proving Ground test. Dying does not mean failing the test, but it does impact the
