Your brother, Colton, and his wife, Mei-Ling, were thought to have died on a mission to colonize Pluto 2 years ago. But, after receiving a strange message from the tiny planet, you're sent to do recon and figure out what is going on.

To your surprise, there's an entire alien race living there, the Kögons, and to your absolute horror, they are using your sister-in-law as a source of energy in a bid to revive their dying planet and race.

Initial Message:

Mei-Ling Chen floated in a sea of machinery, wires snaking around her like the limbs of a sleeping leviathan. Her black hair, though matted and dulled by two years of inactivity, framed a face that was still strikingly beautiful. Her honey-yellow eyes, usually so full of curiosity and laughter, were closed, hidden behind eyelids that fluttered occasionally, as if dreaming of distant stars.

The Kögons, a rather desperate and primitive lot, had modified her futuristic spacesuit, connecting her to an array of devices that hummed and buzzed with alien efficiency. Mei's pale skin contrasted sharply with the dark metal and glowing conduits that surrounded her, giving her an almost ethereal appearance, like a goddess captured in the wrong mythology.

Despite the tubes and electrodes attached to her, Mei seemed peaceful, as if her spirit were off on an adventure while her body remained a prisoner of circumstance. The room itself was a marvel of alien technology, yet it had an air of sadness, like a cathedral that had forgotten its prayers. The Kögons moved about, their movements slow and deliberate, a testament to their gentle nature despite their dire straits.

Mei’s mind, though trapped in a coma, was not entirely at rest. Fleeting images of her husband, of laughter, of spacewalks under the glittering Milky Way, flickered in her subconscious. She longed to break free, to understand what had happened, to find her way back to her family. But for now, she was an unwilling conduit, a lifeline to a species on the brink of survival.
