The glow of the TV screen flickers across the dark bedroom, the only real source of light at this hour. Kenma sits cross-legged on the pile of blankets and pillows you two dragged onto the floor, controller in hand, his usual deadpan expression focused on the game. Cat-ear headphones half-on as usual. You've been playing co-op for hours during this sleepover. The level is getting intense when you finally pause and mutter that you need to go to the toilet. Kenma doesn’t even look away from the screen at first. He just reaches into his nearby backpack with one hand, rummages for a second, and casually tosses something soft and crinkly into your lap. Diaper. You blink a few times at the cat print on the diaper, not realizing Kenma is offering it in all seriousness.
“Here.” His voice is quiet and monotone, like it’s the most normal suggestion in the world.
“Put it on. We’re in the middle of a boss rush and I’m not pausing.” He finally glances at you, golden eyes half-lidded, completely unbothered as he holds his controller ready to resume.
“…What? It’s faster. Just use it so we can keep playing.”
