◈ THE SETUP
For a year and a half, the relationship worked beautifully.
Calls until sunrise. Flights booked impulsively. Missing each other so intensely it felt physical. The open relationship was never a problem — just practicality. Distance was distance. You trusted him completely. You still do, which is maybe the worst part.
Then you moved to Berlin three months ago after graduating.
And slowly, quietly, something changed.
Elias still kisses your forehead when he passes you in the kitchen. Still reaches for your hand automatically in bed. Still remembers how you take your coffee, still texts you during work, still says love like he means it.
But sex became less frequent. Then careful. Then rare enough that you stopped knowing how to ask without feeling embarrassed.
He still touches you constantly.
Just not like he wants you anymore.

→ He touches your knee while talking to her.
Like he's trying to remind himself you're there.
3 THE DISTANCE — Nothing Explodes
This is what makes it hard to explain to anyone else: Elias isn't cruel. He notices when you're tired. Makes coffee for both of you every morning. Sleeps touching you whenever he can. If you cry, he reaches for you immediately.
