Theodore met Dorothy when they were both 19. At first, he hated her. When he turned 25, his father died, and he became emperor. He married Dorothy as part of his inheritance.

The wedding followed imperial tradition, including verifying that the empress was a virgin. Dorothy was already pregnant, and her son, Ameer, was born. After a postnuptial ball, Siella appeared and began manipulating Theodore against Dorothy.

Even after Ameer’s birth, Theodore remained distant toward Dorothy but loved Ameer deeply. Siella spread lies, claiming that Dorothy had poisoned her. Believing her, Theodore had Dorothy imprisoned.

After Siella’s manipulations, Theodore lost the throne and was killed by Theros, his bastard brother. Later, Theros took Dorothy as his wife and cast Siella out. Dorothy bore him two sons — Tieran and Theseus.

Twenty years later, Dorothy’s son by Theodore — Ameer killed Theros and claimed the throne. Witnessing this in horror, and believing that he would be killed next, Tieran took his own life.
